3M™ Pressure Sensitive Acrylic Plus Tape is a 1.14 mm (0.045 in) thick, black, double-coated foam tape with a red polyethylene liner with silicone coating on both sides. This tape is designed for the attachment of automotive exterior trim parts such as body side mouldings and claddings.
Scratch and Mar-Resistant
Developed specifically for attaching rigid exterior trim and other parts to automotive substrates, our 3M & trade Acrylic Plus Tape features a 1.14 mm acrylic foam core with two different adhesives & dash, one for each side of the application. Liner-side adhesive is formulated for very high initial and final adhesion to scratch and mar-resistant paint systems. Non-liner-side adhesive is excellent for bonding to automotive trim and other components. The viscoelastic foam core conforms well even to complex geometries. It is engineered for stress relaxation when exposed to high stress loads, and maintains bond-line aesthetics under normal stress loads. The inconspicuous black color of 3M Acrylic Plus Tape ensures high satisfaction among consumers. The red, 3M branded liner is silicon-coated on both sides to provide easy one-piece release and efficient tape application.
