The seventh generation of Honda Civic was launched in 2000 and it was a complete change in exterior design and interior design and this shape got very famous in Pakistan it was launched with 1.5- and 1.6-liter Vtec engines in this generation Honda used prosmatec (progressive, Shift schedule Management Technology) transmission. This generation got a facelift in late 2004 which hit the market and it is famous by a name known as Eagle eye because the look of its front headlamps is like the eagle eyes. The 9^th generation of Honda Civic was globally launched in 2011 but in Pakistan, it came at the end of 2012 and it is called Rebirth in the Pakistani market because it was the mature version of the previous generation. This generation was not much sold in the Pakistani market because of its exterior design because Civic lovers were disappointed by its exterior design. Globally the 10^th generation of Honda Civic was launched in 2015 but in Pakistan, it was launched at the end of 2016 and it is also known as Civic X in Pakistan. This generation of Honda has the most sporty design and this is the most selling generation of Honda Civic in Pakistan. It was launched in three different variants like Honda Civic 1.8 liter, Honda Civic 1.8-liter oriel, and Honda Civic turbo. If we talk about the exterior design of the Honda Civic then in design philosophy Honda has never disappointed its lovers. The overall design of this generation is a bit mature as compared to the previous generation. The front headlamps of Honda Civic RS are led along with daytime running lights and they are very sleek and narrow shaped although the standard and Civic oriel variants have projection halogen headlamps along with an eyebrow shaped day time running lights that provide an aggressive look to the car. There is no use of chrome in this generation civic. The fog lamps are led in Honda Civic RS and Civic while the standard model of Civic lacks Fog lamps as a standard option. The front grille design is simple and it is in matt black color. The front bumper design is decent and it is matched with body color. There are not many prominent character lines on the hood of civic 2024.

The side profile of the Honda Civic is very simple and premium, there is a single character line that starts from the front fender and fades out at the rear fender of the civic. The side mirrors and door handles of Civic oriel and standard are body-colored while the door handles and side mirrors of Civic RS are in piano black color which provides a sportier look There is a built-in indicator in the side mirrors of Civic. The door handles are wide than in the previous generation and the design of the side mirrors is also changed. Interior

Honda Civic has a smart entry option and it is the standard feature across all the variants. The remote of Civic standard is slightly different from the Oriel and Rs version and it does not have a button for trunk opener on its remote. The entry and exit in Civic are very easy there is ample head and leg space available but few users complain that aged users have a problem in sitting Honda Civic because it is very low. The driver seat of the Honda Civic has manual height adjustment and if the front seats are pulled back to maximum, then still there is ample led space for rear passengers. The interior theme of Honda Civic standard and oriel is beige and black while the RS variant has a full black interior along with the black seats while the standard and oriel variant has beige color seats and the leather seats are available only in RS and oriel variant while the standard variant has fabric seats. The gear knob design of the new civic is the same as the previous generation and the design of the inner door handles has silver work and it looks very premium. There is an option of ambient lights in the RS variant only while the standard and Oriel variant lack this feature. The climate control is digital and its knob design which looks very premium, while there is dual-zone climate control in the oriel and RS variants but standard variant has single-zone digital climate control. The steering wheel has a very modern design along with all the basic steering switches which include cruise control option volume up and down, etc. The steering wheel of RS variants is wrapped in black leather with red stitches while this feature is missing in standard and oriel variants. The is an option of a sunroof in Oriel and RS variants while the standard variant lacks a sunroof. The speedometer of the Civic is very modern and it is the same as the Honda insight there is a tachometer too that provides fuel average range and all the necessary information. The speedometer of the Civic RS is slightly different than the Oriel variant and it has red touches on it. The door cards of Civic have a work of piano black, especially in the RS variant that looks very modern and premium. There is an option of all windows powered and automatic in the RS variant while the standard and Oriel variant has only front two windows powered and automatic. There is an option of paddle shifter in the RS variant while the standard and oriel variant lack this feature. The infotainment screen of the RS and Oriel variant is 9-inches and it is an android unit with all the basic features but apple car play and android auto are missing and the connectivity of Bluetooth is very easy and voice quality is excellent while the standard variant has 7-inches display. Drive Experience

The all-inclusive driving experience of the Honda Civic is very smooth and comfortable. Civic is famous across Pakistan just because of its comfortable drive and pleasure. There is no vibration in a new Honda Civic it is very comfortable to drive in, and the seating position and steering position is very attractive in Honda Civic. Moreover, it has a very smooth response on paving roads and bumpy roads although on broken roads and off-roads it will give you weird sounds because its suspension is not much soft and it is a bit stiff it only makes sense on well-maintained highways and motorways. Its suspension will be ruined if continuously driven on broken roads. The throttle response of the new civic is very smooth and there is no lag in it. This generation of Honda Civic has a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine while the previous generation has an option of a 1.8 liter naturally aspirated engine and turbocharged engine but this time Honda has taken a bold step and only used its turbocharged engine in all the variants. The new Honda Civic has a dual VTC AND VTEC DOHC engine and it can generate a maximum output of 95/5500-6000 kW/rpm in Civic Standard and Oriel variants at a maximum torque of 180/1700-4500 Nm/rpm. Although this engine generates a maximum output of 131/6000 kW/rpm at a torque of 131/6000 Nm/rpm in the Civic RS variant. The engine across all the variants of the Honda Civic is the same but the civic RS has more impressive figures because its transmission is different than the standard and oriel model. All the variants of the Honda Civic have CVT transmission as a standard option but the difference is that the civic standard and oriel model have old technology-based M-CVT transmission which was used in the 10^th generation civic while the RS variant has LL-CVT transmission that is a new technology of CVT that is why its figures are bit different. The normal and eco modes are present in the standard and oriel models while RS also has a sports mode and normal and economy modes too.

Suspension/Wheels & Tires

The suspension of the Honda Civic is stiff which causes trouble on broken roads sometimes but the handling, road grip, and stability of the Honda Civic are phenomenal and next level. In terms of road grip at cornering, no sedan available in Pakistan can beat Honda Civic but the suspension of the Honda Civic is only made for paved roads and it provides weird noise on unpaved or broken roads. There is no body roll in Honda Civic and it is very stable at high speeds. The ground clearance of Honda is not much good.
