Introduction of Honda HRV

In this article, we are going to about the long-awaited and newly launched Honda HRV in Pakistan. Honda HRV is a subcompact crossover B-segment SUV manufactured by a famous Japanese auto manufacturer known as Honda. Honda HRV and Honda Vezel share the same exterior and interior design but the Vezel is a hybrid model while the HRV came with a naturally aspirated engine. The first generation of the Honda HRV was launched in 1998 and it was available in three doors and five doors’ options. It came with a 1.6-liter petrol engine. The ABS brakes and dual airbags were common in the first generation of the HRV. The exterior design of the first generation was a bit simple. The all-wheel drive variant was also available in Honda HRV in some countries. The first facelift of the Honda HRV was launched in 2002 which includes a few exterior and interior changes. The second generation of the Honda HRV was launched globally in 2013 and its exterior and interior design was completely changed and very modern as compared to the previous generation. This generation was launched in 2014 in America and it got famous there. It was available in a 1.5-liter petrol engine option and a 1.8-liter engine option. The second generation of the Honda HRV was also launched in Pakistan by Honda but this generation does not gain much fame because it lacks features while at the same time Honda Vezel was available in Pakistan so users prefer Vezel over HRV because the Vezel was full of features and luxuries that is why the second-generation Honda HRV does not gain much fame in Pakistan and after some time Honda discontinue that in Pakistan. The third generation of the Honda HRV was globally launched in 2021 and its exterior design is very modern and unique. Exterior

Front look of Honda HRV Pakistan

The front look of the Honda HRV is very sleek and modern. The hood of the car has two prominent character lines which provide a very sleek and bold look to the Honda HRV.

The headlamps are very sleek and they are LED in both variants of the Honda HRV. The daytime running lights along with the LED indicator are also available in the Honda HRV. The front grille design is very unconventional and Honda has taken a very bold step here because normally cars have chrome front grilles while the front grille of the Top-of-the-line VTI S variant is body colored while the front grille of the base variant which is VTI is in black color. There are LED fog lamps available in the VTI S variant while the VTI variant lack this feature. The front bumper design is very futuristic with very sleek character lines. There is a silver lining available in the top-of-the-line variant while it is missing in the base variant of the Honda HRV. The front camera is only available in the VTI S variant and the front parking sensors are missing in both variants of the Honda HRV. The all-inclusive look of the front is very modern and it resembles a Honda Vezel. There is black cladding also available on the bottom of the front bumper.

Side profile of Honda HRV

The side profile of the Honda HRV Pakistan is also very impressive like the front look of the car. The door handles of the Honda HRV are body-colored in both variants and the smart entry option is available on the door handles. The door handles of the Honda HRV Pakistan are body-colored and the side indicators are also available on the side mirrors. There is piano black cladding available on the wheel arches and below the side panels of the car in the VTI S variant while in the base variant there is an option for matt black cladding. There are 17-inches alloy rims available in both variants of the Honda HRV but in the VTI S variant, the alloy rims are available in single color while in the VTI variant the alloy rims are available in dual colors. There is an option of the body-colored or black roof in the VTI S variant while the VTI variant has only a body-colored roof. There is a single character line available on the side profile of the car.

The rear profile of the Honda HRV

The rear look of the Honda HRV Pakistan is very attractive and pleasant. There are lava LED tail lights available in both variants of the Honda HRV and the LED light continues from one end of the car to the other. The turn signals available in the tail lamps are simple. The rear of the car is very sloppy and slanted. There is a rear screen wiper available in the Honda HRV. The rear spoiler along with the high-mounted brake lamp is also available in the Honda HRV. There is a shark fin antenna available in both variants of the Honda HRV Pakistan. There is a badging of HR-V available on the trunk of the car. The tailgate is manual in both variants of the Honda HRV. In the VTI S variant, there is an option of silver lining and piano black cladding below the rear bumper while in the VTI variant the matt black cladding is available. In both variants of the Honda HRV, there is an option for the full-size spare wheel and the tool-kit is also available in the Honda HRV Pakistan. The reflectors are also available on the rear bumper.

Interior of Honda HRV 2022

The interior of the Honda HRV is very modern and futuristic. There is an option for smart entry on the door handles of the Honda HRV and this option is available in both variants of the Honda HRV. Entry and exit are easy in the Honda HRV and there is ample head and leg space available in the Honda HRV Pakistan. There is an option for high-grade leather seats in the VTI S variant while the VTI variant has high-grade fabric seats although the cushioning of the seats is very comfortable. The driver seat has manual adjustment and height adjustment is also available in the HRV.

There is an option of push start button in both variants of the Honda HRV. The steering wheel of the Honda HRV contains different steering controls but they are available on the left side of the steering wheel and on the right side there are no steering controls because in international models there is an option for adaptive cruise control so its controls are available on the right side of the steering wheel but this option is missing in the Pakistani variant of the Honda HRV. The speedometer design of the Honda HRV is a bit inspired by the speedometer design of the 11^th generation Honda Civic and there is a 4.2-inches LCD TFT screen available in the speedometer of the Honda HRV which shows all the necessary information like fuel average, millage moreover it also shows the positioning of the passengers.

 

There is an option for the luxury dual-zone climate control in the VTI S variant while the VTI variant has single-zone climate control. The climate control design is again inspired by the climate control design of the 11^th-generation Honda civic.

There is an option for a 9.0-inch Android screen in the VTI S variant while the VTI variant has a 9.0-inches simple infotainment screen. The apple car play and android auto options are available in the VTI S variant while the VTI variant lacks these features. The reverse camera is available in both variants of the Honda HRV and there are static guidelines available in the reverse camera of the Honda HRV.

There is an option for the wireless charger in the VTI S variant while the VTI variant lack this feature. There is an option for electronic parking available in the Honda HRV. The two cup holders are available for the front-row passengers. The armrest is also available in the Honda HRV. The interior of the Honda HRV is made from hard plastic as well as soft plastic. In the VTI S variant, there is an option for a dark red interior too. The auto-dimming mirror is also available in the VTI S variant while the VTI variant has a simple mirror. The ambient lighting is available in the VTI S variant only and their positioning is a bit odd and they are not much effective. The gear lever design is again inspired by the gear level design of the 10^th and 11^th-generation Honda Civic.  On the rear seats, there is an option for a rear AC vent. In the VTI S variant, there is a rear charging dock available while in the VTI variant this option is missing. The rear seats have an option for the rear armrest. The rear seats have a 60/40 split option too.

There is a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated DOHC engine available in the Honda HRV which is different from the 1.5 liter-engine available in Honda City and BRV because these cars have SOHC engine while the new HRV has DOHC which is a bit disappointing for the users of Pakistan who are expecting 1.5-liter turbocharged engine.  There is a CVT transmission available in the Honda HRV which is amazing and provides a smooth gear-shifting experience. The main competitors of the Honda HRV are Kia Sportage Hyundai Tucson and Proton X70. The main advantage that Honda HRV has over this competitor product is brand reliability. There are a lot of crossover SUV s available in Pakistan but all of them are Chinese or Korea based and Honda HRV is the only product available which is a Japanese product so this is the main advantage that Honda HRV has. The other major advantage is the price range the price of the Honda HRV 2022 is a bit reasonable as compared to the competitor products.
